Trauma - Informed Modalities

A dedicated practice can instill: Resiliency, Strength, Courage, Agency

What can you expect from

What is the Empowerment Protocol?

This protocol will include a variety of online classes to help facilitate the healing journey for our clients. Currently, there is no comprehensive online program that allows survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST) to come together and address their needs in a wholistic fashion. This protocol aims to change that, as we build a national platform for Service Members and Veterans across the globe.

This is an opportunity to learn with your body and process the trauma lodged in your system. Holistic healing has many benefits, but one of the most immediate is the ability to reclaim the agency in your story. When you begin practicing a relationship between the mind and the body you find that the impossible becomes possible.

Evidence Based Practices

People often ask Lindsey HOW she can do what she does.  She's buried three siblings, a parent, she's been fired for whistleblowing and exposing drug/human trafficking (as featured in The Fort Bragg Cartel), she's survived assault, and she's navigated financial ruin....all while enduring death threats from local Neo-Nazi's, KKK Members, and Church Leaders.

Any one of those things could be enough to make someone decide to throw in the towel.  But Lindsey keeps shining, as the Glitter Goddess we all know her to be.

To do all this, she keeps an AGGRESSIVE self-care plan that she happily shares with anyone who wants to learn more.

Using evidence-based techniques, Lindsey takes you on a journey that she had to wander through on her own.  She had to learn, dig, research, try, and fail.  Her hope is to share with you what she learned and help you discover your own unique pattern so that you can walk thru a litter quicker than she did.

As we process trauma through the mind, we must process it through the body.

Whether we’ve been in a vehicle accident, lost a loved one, or anything in between, our body keeps the score. Our nervous system is wired like branches of tree. And when we experience a traumatic event, those branches get pruned.

But those branches can regrow, and that’s what we focus on with our Empowerment Protocols. By using these evidence-based modalities (as described in The Body Keeps the Score), we offer self-regulation techniques that help each client process trauma through the body.

Over this 6-week series, Lindsey will be guiding you through classroom instruction to help you understand the biomechanics of trauma, educating you on how your brain and nervous system responds to various events. From there, she will guide you through movement techniques and meditative practices that help integrate the trauma helping you to calm the nervous system and move past blockages that may have been holding you back.

This is an excellent complement to any talk therapy that one may be engaged in.  But just know, that you do not have to talk about your struggle to participate in this course.  You will be given information in a classroom setting and get to choose how you apply that information in a way that works best for YOU and your circumstances.

Its time to step into your greatness, dig in, figure out your limiting beliefs, and take action to step into your most authentic self.  You don't have to walk alone.  We got YOU!

These protocols are wildly effective and are based on the clinical research of

  • Dr. Bessel van der Kolk (Author of The Body Keeps the Score),
  • Dr. Richard Miller (Author of The iRest Program for Healing PTSD, and many other books and clinical research),
  • Dr. Ida Rolf (Biochemist and founder of Structural Integration protocols now called "Rolfing" in her honor),
  • Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn (Author of Full Catastrophe Living and creator of the Stress Reduction Clinic and the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School),
  • Dr. Bruce D. Perry & Maia Szalavitz (Authors of The Boy Who Was Raised as a Dog),
  • And many other fantastic clinicians who have dedicated their lives to the research and data collection of how trauma needs to be processed through the body.
