Traditional acupuncture is commonly thought of as the application of dozens of needles at various points on the trunk of the body and/or its extremities.
The puncture of needles cause the release of body chemicals which promote tissue healing in the region where they are inserted. The treatment also reduces pain.
Battlefield Acupuncture is a form of acupuncture in which needles are placed only on the surface of the ear. The theory behind ear acupuncture is that the entire body and all of its functions are represented on various points on the ear. This representation allows treatment of far-ranging conditions using needles applied only to the ear.
During this session, our Practitioner will place 5 needles into points on each ear.
This treatment has become common among our military because of its ability to work quickly with minimal equipment.
Xochi is a Combat Veteran serving as a Spiritual and Mental Health Aide First Responder. She embraced the call to deepen her yogic practice through VETOGA, a non-profit organization who’s mission is to provide Yoga Teacher Training, Meditation, and Healing arts to military, veterans, and their families, and communities.
Xochi has traveled throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa exploring holistic healing modalities to create a potent tapestry of experience by weaving together therapeutic technologies to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, to regulate hormonal imbalance.
This foundation led her to acupuncture, where she gently administers the same techniques that she has found so useful.
